Publisher review:Vis5d is intended as a central repository for enhanced versions and development work on Vis5d Vis5d is intended as a central repository for enhanced versions and development work on Vis5d, a free OpenGL-based volumetric visualization program for scientific datasets in 3 dimensions.
Some of the main enhancements in Vis5d include:
- autoconf/automake build process: building Vis5d can now be as easy as ./configure && make && make install, and it works on most Unix-like systems without modification.
- The Vis5D API is now installed as shared and static libraries and header files, and is properly separated from the GUI.
- Mesa is not included with Vis5d ; configure looks for a version installed on your system.
- The NetCDF library is now optional. When it is not found by configure, the associated features of Vis5d (irregular data support) are disabled.
- configure should detect and use the Fortran compiler on more platforms than before, and the Fortran utilities now compile under GNU g77.
- When --enable-threads is passed to configure, threads are automatically detected and used on more systems than before, including POSIX threads (under Linux, etcetera). (POSIX threads support is broken in the mainline Vis5d.)
Vis5d 1.2.0 is a C/C++ script for osCommerce Addons scripts design by Steven Johnson.
It runs on following operating system: Linux / BSD.
